For seventh consecutive year, the city of Kalamata will party in carnival rhythm that will last from February 16 to March 10 2019, with a full program of events, concerts and games, while 21 carnival groups have already participated.
This year the duration for the event is extended, so that residents and thousands of visitors could enjoy more moments of carefree and frantic feast on the main streets of the city and in many parties which will be held by dozens of cafes, bars and clubs.
Imagination and ingenuity will not be missed, since the first carnival groups have already shown their festive energy and wonderfull costumes which attracted the interest of aspiring carnivalists.
The inception of 7th Carnival of Kalamata will be given from the well know music band REC with their concert taking place on Saturday, February 16, 2019, in the Central Square of Kalamata - Vasileos Georgiou Sq.
On Saturday, February 23, 2019, will be given a great music concert by Dimitris Karadimos in the same spot and on Saturday 2 March 2019, the famous disco party of Carnival of Kalamata will take place for another year at the hotel Elite.
The Carnival will culminate on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th March 2019. On Saturday will take place the famous night parade, starting from the end of Aristomenous Str. and ending at the Historic Center of Kalamata, while the Carnival will be completed on Sunday March 10, 2019, with the big parade, which will start from Ipapantis Church and end up at the Central Square - Vasileos Georgiou with the music concert from Onirama group closing with the best way.
In addtion to the above events, the Games of Kalamata'sCarnival will start on 17 February 2019 and will peak in the last few days of its performance.
For the first time this year, we will meet the most crazy carnivalist, Cornelius, as the name of the mascot of the 7th Carnival of Kalamata, and invites us to dance in his rhythms, in front of the historic Town Hall of Kalamata.
